Steel Wire Mesh

What is steel wire mesh?
It is equipment material of wide-surface vertical and horizontal reinforced concrete elements. They are manufactured by cold drawing to increase the strength and to connect the ribbed steel rods to each other by spot welding with millimetric precision. Wire mesh sizes and cage spacings can be manufactured by adjusting the desired dimensions.

Usage Areas of Steel Wire Mesh
Especially in the last 10 years, it is a construction material that is widely used throughout the country. There are many uses in field concrete, curtains, upholstery, concrete roads, retaining walls and tunnels. The garden can also be used as a hedge and a railing. It is much more advantageous than the old-fashioned rebar because it saves from material, workmanship, time and transportation.

In the old-fashioned rebar, bars were individually cut, hooked, laid down at regular intervals, and fastened together, but the steel mats are becoming platelets, easy to transport and easier to install.

The dimensions of the standard steel mats are 5,00 m to 2,15 m long and the types and approximate weights of the most used types of steel mats are as follows.

4.50 mm – q 106/106 – 17.98 kg
5.00 mm – q 131/131 – 22.15 kg
5,50 mm – q 158/158 – 26,89 kg
6.00 mm – q 188/188 – 31.92 kg
6.50 mm – q 221/221 – 37.39 kg
7.00 mm – q 257/257 – 43.43 kg
